FIRST OF ALL....... What is Boudoir? OK, so you have been hearing about boudoir photography but not sure what it is? Who should do it? What does is entail?
Boudoir – pronounced bŏo dwăawr Comes from late 18th century French word and is translated as – a woman’s bedroom or a private sitting room.
Who should go for boudoir photography?
1. A woman that wants to surprise that special one in her life with a unique and personal gift…. There’s something about seeing him open that photo album for the first time and drool all over your sexy photos (and not the ones from Playboy magazine)!
2. A woman that needs a confidence boost. We all occasionally get really tired of looking at these glossy magazines with “perfect” models on every page. Well, now it can be you looking back from a sexy picture. Why should only models have all the fun in front of the camera? Boudoir photography will help you discover that secret seductress in you!
3. A woman that is already confident and just wants to strut her sexy stuff in front of the camera and have some fun! Why not just make it all about you and give yourself a treat? It’ll be your little secret!
4. A woman that wants to capture her beauty forever. Lets face it, none of us are getting younger. 30 years from now a boudoir photo shoot will be the proof of your beauty. A Boudoir photo album will be one of your most cherished possessions.

To sum up, pretty much any woman is a great candidate for a boudoir photography session. The only quality you need to have is well, to actually be a woman!
How to prepare for your shoot
1. Take care of any waxing/shaving in the sensitive areas at least the 3-4 days before to avoid irritation and redness.
2. Make sure you drink plenty of water 24 hrs before to avoid dehydration and looking tired.
3. Avoid fatty & salty foods, which can make you bloated.
4. Make sure that your hair is dry and clean when you arrive for your shoot. Don't put your hair in a pony tail it can make a dent in your hair.
5. If you plan on cutting or coloring your hair make sure to have it done at lease 2 weeks before the shoot in case you need to fix any problems.
6.Make sure your nails are how you want them in the pictures.
7. Get a good night sleep!
8. Wear loose clothing before the shoot to prevent marks on the skin.

New Year...New Changes...

2011- wow...where did 2010 go ? A few new changes for Steph Allen Photography-one -moving to a new location-in my home. I am excited about my new studio space. It is a large room, several backdrops set up, amazing natural light to use as well as studio lighting. Second change is my logo & website - check it out at www.stephallenphotography.com . I hope you all had an amazing holiday season. I have had an eventful one-while on vacation in Colorado before Christmas I fell and broke my left arm, both bones, very painful. I am actually typing this with one hand...which takes forever !! I go see an orthopedic dr in the morning. I hope he has good things to say and puts a cast on it and releases me off my couch....which I am actually growing bored with. I will be posting info about Valentines Day Specials soon. Halloween 2010

Really...HALLOWEEN ?? NO can it really be Sept 15 ? I miss summer, I miss sleeping in, I miss camping & I miss laying in the warm sun. BUT what I do love is Candy Corn, Fall colors, pumpkin anything, fall smells and kids dressed up in costumes ! I LOVE HALLOWEEN ! This year I am doing a FUN Halloween Food Drive. Our local food pantrys are having a hard time keeping the shelves stocked, so I figured why not help them out as much as we can...RIGHT ? SO details for the All Tricks No Treats Halloween Food Drive Event is this....

My poor neglected blog

My last post on here was for an Easter Special.....that was a few MONTHS ago. Needless to say those "months" consisted of- Live bunny sessions at the studio, ski trip to Colorado over Spring Break with my family, the last day of school, an anniversary trip to Vegas with my husband, my son getting married, camping trip to Colorado in June, an amazing wedding, a trip to Texas for my Grandparents 55th Wedding Anniversary and then the mass rush of AMAZING ROCKSTAR SENIORS....that have totally rocked this year ! And not to mention all the other amazing sessions I have had this year....all of my "old" clients that have been with me from the start....all of my "new" clients that have joined me....thanks...you guys are the best. The next few months are going to be just as busy and as fun as the last few....keep watching for a BIG announcement......BUT for now...I leave you with my BACK TO SCHOOL SPECIAL !
